Food Selection – Dining Services Committee
Hearthstone’s Dining Committee is a group of residents whose main focus is to provide feedback of their dining experience to our Dining Service Director. They evaluate such things as food quality and quantity, and meal presentation and variety, as well as provide a clear picture of the overall food service. Their respected assessment of their dining experience helps us better understand how to develop, implement, and enhance a dining program that provides the best possible food service to all of our valued residents.

Activity Directors & Special Events
Hearthstone Activity Directors are passionate about what they do and it shows! They meet with each new resident to determine preferences and plan monthly activities to ensure these needs are met. A typical monthly activity calendar will include social, cultural, educational, wellness programs and events to enhance the mind, body and soul. Social events including before dinner cocktail hours and game nights help encourage our residents to meet and interact with one another. Educational events such as our “Ask The Experts” seminars and Support Group meetings give our residents and their families the power of knowledge on the latest medical and financial information available for senior living. Health and wellness programs such as exercise classes and brain aerobics promote sharpness of mind and body.
Hearthstone’s Transitional Programs
Throughout our many years of experience we, at Hearthstone, have come to realize that the transition to an assisted living community may be difficult for some. Our Transitional program is designed to make that move as easy as possible by pairing your loved one with a member of our staff, whose main focus is to spend time with our new resident so that they can get comfortable in their new living environment. For their first week at our Hearthstone community, one of our caring staff members will spend quality time with new residents by escorting them to meals, making sure they have a dining companion, reviewing the list of social activities that we have to offer and helping create a more friendly atmosphere by introducing our newer residents to other members of our Hearthstone community. Our Transitional program helps enrich the lives of our newer community members by being certain they feel comfortable doing whatever quality programs and activities they’d like to participate in, to enhance their daily living. We designed it so that our new residents will have a companion to help navigate their surroundings and make new friends.
Personal Living Style
Hearthstone residents have varying living arrangements from which to choose. There are several private suites from which to choose as well as companion suites, comfortable for two residents to share. We here, at Hearthstone, take great strides to make certain that every one of our residents is satisfied with their particular floor plan. If two residents plan to live together, our qualified staff works hard to place them with other members of our community that we feel will interact well with one another. On a regular basis, Hearthstone staff, as well as a member of your family, will review your loved one’s living arrangement to ensure that their emotional needs are being cared for in the highest of standards.
On Site Professional Services
Through home health services of residents’ choice, physical, occupational and speech therapy can be provided. Home health aides can monitor blood pressure, help with diabetes management, offer respiration therapy and much more. We can help select the best service to meet each resident’s individualized needs. Also visiting regularly are podiatrists, physicians, nurse practitioners, audiologists, specialty nurses, ophthalmologists, dentists, etc. All of this support enables our AGING IN PLACE philosophy to be successful.
